Emotions play an important role in the everyday decisions that all individuals face. Regardless of how aware a person is of their emotional life, it is hard to escape the pull of these feelings. For this reason, brain education programs that teach people how to control their emotions are critical.

A recent study from a group of University of Toronto researchers looked at the role that a person's emotions play in the decisions they make. They found that people often underestimate the intensity of the feelings that result from their actions.

While the study suggested that individuals may be less likely to cheat on a simple test when given the opportunity than predicted, it showed that they felt much stronger emotions during the actual act of cheating than they would have thought. The findings indicate that people are often less aware of their emotions than they normally believe.

Ilchi Lee has said that brain education is the key to living a focused, fulfilling life. Individuals who pursue this path may gain greater control over their emotions and not allow these feelings to sidetrack them into making unproductive decisions in life.
